Superior Waterways will begin the restoration of the littoral shelf in the lake by planting various species of aquatic plants in the May-June timeframe depending on the weather and the water level of the lake. This will be a multi-year effort to fully restore the littoral shelf to SWFWMD standards. Besides restoring the natural look of the lake, it also benefits fish, frogs, birds and other wildlife.
